TFH Gazebos is a family-run online brand in the UK. The team has been in this business for over 15 years. They offer high-quality and custom gazebos. TFH is built on trust, skill, and great support after purchase. The company has become well known as a gazebo seller in the UK. As they added more products and reached more customers, they realised they needed to upgrade their ecommerce website design that could grow with them.

Objective

The objective of this project was to transfer TFH Gazebos’ current BigCommerce storefront to a faster, scalable and conversion focused Shopify storefront. In addition to moving the storefront from BigCommerce to Shopify, there was also a requirement for a full overhaul of the storefront layout using advanced ecommerce website development services. Furthermore, this new storefront required a bespoke product configurator system to allow for custom orders and advanced filtering systems to simplify the purchase decision-making Process for customers and to significantly improve the customer buying journey.

Problem description

TFH Gazebos has a great reputation after fifteen years. Their BigCommerce storefront was no longer reflecting the quality of the brand. Browsing products was slow to load, and the store had a dated look and feel. Additionally, there was no ability for customers to use product filters or sort by price on smaller screens (mobile). There was also no flexibility in the back-end system, so that none of the internal staff could make daily updates to the site's content. This resulted in lost opportunity and eventually created a wide gap between their excellent brand quality and poor digital experience.

Solution

As an experienced ecommerce website development company, we successfully migrated the entire store from BigCommerce to Shopify while preserving all product data, customer records, and order history. Additionally, we implemented a redirect strategy to protect organic rankings. At the same time as the migration, we rebuilt the storefront from scratch using a mobile-first design that is optimized for performance. Furthermore, we developed a bespoke product configurator that allows customers to personalize size, colour, sidewalls and custom prints in real-time. Finally, we introduced a dynamic filtering engine — giving both the customer and the internal team access to an ecommerce platform that is fast, flexible and designed to grow.
